School Library Certification Program  
Reporting Completed Coursework To Obtain Act 48 Hours Endorsement Option  
   

Students who are working in school districts are required to have completed coursework posted for Act 48 compliance. Act 48 credit can be received for up to two courses.

To apply for the Act 48 credits online, go to:

  • Click on the screen for self-reporting, and follow the directions for completing the on-line registration form.

Once you have completed the on-line registration, the information is submitted the University Registrar for verification. A report will be generated from the Registrar, and submitted to the School of Education, which submits the verified information to the Pennsylvania Department of Education – Act 48 Website.
