Navigation

The navigation menu, shown in Figure 25 allows the user to make large jumps in the document spaces. Most notably, it allows the user to switch between their login directory, where they may wish to look at files and the CASCADE root directory, where the main CASCADE documents for their project are located. Not shown, but available in the current version of CASCADE is a choice to switch CASCADE projects. In the event that a user belongs to more than one project, they may now switch between them without leaving CASCADE.

Navigation in CASCADE is accomplished by using the navigation menu choices and by using three specialized tools. Beyond the large jumps described above, the user may use traditional navigation tools such as bookmarks and history lists and some rather unique tools which include the docuverse, browser, and landmarks. All of these tools are described below.
