A navigational aid called a mural was incorporated into the interface.

This element of the display can be seen in Figure 3 and takes the form of a bar parallel to the vertical scroll bar. This region can be thought of a miniaturized document display space. All hypertext links are shown in the same color as the corresponding link in the larger document area. The purpose of this display is to allow the editor to infer the contents of the portion of the document which is beyond the area of the document visible in the display window.
