Hakon Wium Lie is the Chief Technology Officer for Opera Software. Before arriving at Opera he worked for W3C where he was responsible for style sheets. Hakon is best known for his concept of Cascading Style Sheets. Hakon joined Opera to make sure there is more than one browser on the web.

Hakon is a graduate of MIT Media Lab, which pioneered many of the digital concepts that surround us today. Aside from work, Hakon enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys listening to classical music as well as painting.
