Research Interests: networked information systems, wireless and sensor data management, query optimization in resource-constrained distributed environments, scalable architectures for wide-area environments with heterogeneous information servers.

I am a head of the Network Aware Data Management Group and a member of the Advanced Data Management Technologies Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh.

Highlights:

I am a general chair of the International ACM Workshop on Data Engineering for Wireless and Mobile Access (MobiDE’08) (in conjunction with the ACM SIGMOD/PODS Conference, Vancouver, 2008)

I am a chair of the International Workshop on Sensor Network Technologies for Information Explosion Era (SeNTIE2008) (in conjunction with the MDM Conference, Beijing, 2008)

I am a chair of the International Workshop on Data Intensive Sensor Networks (DISN07).
