While you're visiting, be sure to stop in at some of our more unique attractions like the Johnstown Inclined Plane and the Flood Museum. Take in a professional baseball game at the Point Stadium, home to the Johnstown Johnnies. During hockey season, the Johnstown Chiefs of the East Coast Hockey League can be found battling for the puck at the War Memorial Arena.

And don't overlook our many cultural offerings, including the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, The Community Arts Center and the Allegheny Highlands Regional Theatre.

If you're in the mood to shop, The Conference Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is only minutes away from the Galleria Mall which features over 90 specialty shops and a variety of restaurants.

For outdoor enthusiasts, lake fishing can be found at Glendale Lake near Patton, Duman Lake near Belsano, Lake Rowena in Ebensburg and lake Somerset in Somerset. The Ghost Town Trail in Dilltown and the Allegheny Highlands Trail in Rockwood offer the best in rail-trail biking and hiking with bike rentals available at some of the trail heads. And the truly adventurous may want to try whitewater rafting on the Youghiogheny River. Most touring companies offer excursions to match different levels of skill and experience.

For a truly spectacular outing, a trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in Mill Run is in order. Fallingwater has often been called Wright's best work and the American institute of Architects named it the best all-time work of American architecture in 1991. Tours are available by appointment, and group reservations must be made at least three weeks in advance and require a deposit.
