Accommodation

Nearly 200 rooms have been reserved for the conference delegates directly in the Living/Learning Center, the conference venue. The residential area of the Living/Learning Center is connected with the conference halls by a covered passage.

We have negotiated great housing prices for this conference: $40.50 per single room and $25.20 per double (all prices are per person, per night). A Single Student price is even better - $33.30.

To reserve your room at the Conference Center, please, print the form and fax it to the provided number. You can also reserve your room by calling the conference center toll free: 1-800-875-5958. A major credit card is required to reserve the room. The center accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. Please, identify you as an attendee of the User Modeling Conference. The accommodation at the Conference Center will be available from June 21 to June 26.

  • For early arrivals on Sat. June 21, check-in time is 6:00 PM
  • For arrivals on Sun. June 22 and later, check-in time is 3:00 PM
  • Departure on Thurs. June 26, check out time is 12:00 PM

Accommodations in the Living/Learning Center offer spacious, comfortable rooms that are air-conditioned and have cable TV, a private bath, telephone with voice mail and microwave/ refrigerator unit.

The 200 guest rooms can accommodate up to 400 persons, double occupancy, and there are twelve handicap-accessible rooms available. With our enclosed walkway, you can attend a function in any of the Living/Learning Center's meeting rooms or grab a bite to eat at the Varsity Cafe without ever having to step outdoors.

A unique feature of the Living/Learning Center is The Commons. This three-level area of the complex separates the Center's meeting and dining facilities from the guest rooms. The Commons includes a gameroom with a TV lounge and a fitness center with a full circuit of weight-training machines, cardiovascular equipment and a sauna.

Individual features are listed below. The following apply to all accommodations:

  • Free access to campus sport facilities (including a swimming pool, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
  • Linen service standard in Living/Learning Center unless otherwise requested. Linen service available for additional fee in other locations and includes sheets, pillows, pillow cases, blankets and towels. (Conference attendees may bring their own linens.)
  • Basic furnishings including twin-sized beds, chest of drawers, desk and chair, microwave and refrigerator.
  • Staff is available 24 hours.
