How do I get my computer account?

You will need a University of Pittsburgh computing account to access the Pitt Portal - https://my.pitt.edu/. Logging into this Pitt Portal gives you access to class registration, your tuition bill, your official Pitt email account, etc.

After you accept your offer of admission to the University of Pittsburgh, the Computer Services & Systems Development (CSSD) office will send an email to the address you submitted on your application. This email will contain information regarding your Pitt computing account (username and password) as well as a link to an identification verification website. You can expect this email anywhere between 1-4 weeks after accepting your offer of admission into the University.

If you do not receive this email within a few weeks of accepting your offer, please call the Technology Help Desk at 1-412-624-4357 or email them at helpdesk@pitt.edu to let them know you have not yet received your computing account information.

You may need to fax to them two forms of photo ID and provide a telephone number where you can be reached to confirm the process.
