Monday, March 21, 2005
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Room 501, IS Building

Abstract:The speaker will discuss a long-term research project that examines the concept of “collection” in view of technological advances. This research takes a user-centered approach and pays special attention to how users perceive the boundaries and functions of collections in their information seeking. To conclude, some thoughts will be given to the implications for improving the organization of information resources and for future system design.
