“INFORMATION PRACTICES OF THEATRE PRODUCTION PROFESSIONALS:
SPOTLIGHT ON ACTIVITY THEORY"

Thursday, March 25, 2004
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Room 405, IS Building

Abstract: Theatre production professionals -- actors, directors, designers, and stage managers -- are the creative core of a theatrical production. Preliminary research findings will be presented to show the ways in which the script mediates the work activity of these professionals thereby revealing their information practices. The theoretical implications for LIS research of focusing on a document common to all members of a community will also be discussed.
