Balancing My Life

As we get older, we become more interested in a balanced life; or, at least, that is what it seems to me.  For many years I have played golf, a wonderful sport that can be played over a lifetime (I play better now than I did two or three decades ago).  In more recent years I have become interested in the Arts and Crafts Movement, where technology, the religious or spiritual dimension, and aesthetics were blended, and I started collecting examples of its furniture, pottery, and tile. The landscape paintings often situated in their living spaces persuaded me to both collect paintings and to take up landscape painting as a pastime. Finally, family has become more significant, and in recent years I have re-united with many members of my family. Thank goodness, through all this, my wife, Lynn, has stuck with me and helped me.
