Open Mind primarily serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and accepting people involved in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. As the preamble to our constitution puts it, our intention is to help make the School of Information Sciences a welcoming environment for all gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered persons and their friends, family and coworkers. As part of that, we provide informational resources on homosexuality and related topics such as bibliographies, web links and guest speakers. Of course, Open Mind is open to ALL students, faculty, and staff at the University of Pittsburgh. We encourage membership and attendance from persons of all educational interests, ages, races, creeds, genders, sexual-orientations and nationalities.
