Professional Student!

Currently I am graduate student in the information science master's program at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed my undergraduate work here at the University of Pittsburgh in April of 2004. I graduated with dual degrees in both Economics and Information Science. Although my foremost interests may lie in economics I also have interests in the field of information science. I currently work part-time as a researcher at the Visual Information Systems Centerwhich pays for my degree as well as provides me with money to live.

My interests in the field of information sciences cover a wide range of topics. I really enjoy GIS(Geospatial Information Systems) and hope to develop my talents in that areas. I am also very interested in decision analysis theory, which is related to the course I took in Game Theory for economics. Other random topics that I think are interesting include web scripting and design, video game design and programming, the use of rfid technology and the study of bioinformatics.

Outside of areas that I have degrees in, I am greatly interested in journalism, for sports in particular. However writing has never been a strong skill of mine so I don't know if I am really suited for it. I also have always been interested in politics and law. This is why I interned for a think tank in Washington, DC a couple summers ago, called Capital Research Center. While there I also took classes at Georgetown University as part of the Fund for American Studies' summer program.
