This assignment requires comparison of two interfaces to a single Web search engine, Infoseek. The first interface is the usual text-based listing provided by Infoseek when used in its native form. The second interface is called WebVIBE. It is a descen dant of VIBE and provides a visual representation of data returned from a series of calls to the Infoseek engine.

1. Choose any one of questions 5-14 on page 280 of the textbook. Using an Internet browser, access the following URL:

Follow the instructions that you find there. Make sure that you complete the follow-up survey for WebVIBE which you will find as a button at the bottom of the main WebVIBE frame.

2. Write an evaluation of the two interfaces. Discuss interface features, output presentation, query formulation and iteration, relevance of results. If you were to do a similar search again, which of the two interfaces would you choose? Why?
