| In addition to the degree and certificate programs, the
department offers an extensive program of continuing professional
development taught by full-time, adjunct, and visiting
faculty, which attracts an international audience of practitioners.
During the summer term, the department offers many short
workshops that present timely topics of interest to information
professionals and that help them to develop and update
their skills in using information technology.
