How can I print without crashing Cascade? Printing problems may occur in CASCADE when you choose to print multiple pages on one sheet. For CASCADE to print multiple pages on one sheet some additional processing is required which may take up to a few seconds or minutes to complete. During the print processing time if there are any mouse clicks or keystrokes in CASCADE, CASCADE will crash and you will need to relogin to CASCADE to continue your CASCADE session and to restart your print job. The quickest way to print and to avoid crashing CASCADE is to print one page per sheet. To check whether CASCADE is set to print one page per sheet do the following;
click Preferences click the Printer tab select "Number of Pages on sheet" to be 1. click Save click Close If you are bound to print multiple pages on a sheet then you will have to wait until CASCADE has completed its print processing time. Remember that during the print processing time you cannot enter any mouse clicks or keystrokes in CASCADE which as stated above will cause your CASCADE session to be interrupted. You may monitor your print job by opening the print monitor, which when you are printing something, will be found on the right side of your Windows 95/NT task bar. The print monitor on the task bar will be a printer icon. To open the print monitor just double-click on the printer icon and a window will open listing your print jobs. When the print job that your are monitoring in the print monitor is no longer listed, then your print job is completed. If the print monitor is not on the task bar then the print job has already completed. Alternatively, you may open the print monitor from the Windows 95/NT Start menu by selecting Settings then Printers, afterwhich you should right-click on the printer to which you are printing. After right-clicking on the printer to which you are printing click Open to open a window from which you may monitor your print job. |
