FAQ

How do I install CASCADE?

Once you have copied the file cascade.exe from the website, you will need to extract its files. You will need to know where the file was copied on your computer. If you don't remember, start the download process again and pay attention to where it says it wants to save the file -- you can cancel once you have seen where the file was put. Double click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and go to the folder where cascade.exe was saved. Double click on the self-extracting zip file cascade.exe to extract the files, a dialog window will open and it will ask you to where you want to unzip the files -- pay attention to the directory. After the files have been extracted, click the close button to close the unzip program.

Now go to the location where the CASCADE files were unzipped and find the folder "CASCADE DISKS". In the folder "CASCADE DISKS" will be four folders called "Disk1", "Disk2", "Disk3", and "Disk4" and a "Readme" file. Open the Disk1 folder and double click on the computer icon called "Setup" and follow the installation instructions.

Once the installation process has completed, CASCADE will be installed on your computer. There will be a Cascade folder on your Start menu which will include CASCADE and access to help files.

You are now ready to use CASCADE. The only additional thing you will need to do is enter the server information when you start Cascade.
