FAQ

Why does the client crash alot for me?

99.9% of client crashes occur with new users because of the Microsoft habit of double clicking to open a file. There are a couple places in CASCADE where you will double click, but they are rare. Try to single click and keep in mind that you are working on a network application. That means response time may be a second or two rather than the 1/1000th of a second you are used to. (If you are curious, we tried as much as we could to bullet proof the application so that double clicking would not have any negative impacts. Unfortunately, there were a couple places we could not do so.)

I can't see the whole screen at once and I can't seem to make it smaller

CASCADE requires a screen that is at least 800pixels by 600 pixels. We prefer to have the screen set at 1024x768 or more, but most people find that too busy. To change your screen settings, right click on your screen where nothing exists. Off the pop up menu, choose properties. When the "Display Properties" dialog opens, click the "Settings" tab, and then adjust the desktop area using the slider.
