The CASCADE system has been developed by the Michael B. Spring and graduate students in the Department of Information Science and Telecommunications in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. More than 100 graduate students have been involved at various levels, but primary credits go to Emile L. Morse, Doug Burke, Swantje Wilms, Geir Inge Kristengard, I-Huang Terence Liu, Ramesh Sudini, Tammy Datri, Bill Fithen, Brian Sorrows, Gregory Schmitt, Misook Heo, Paul M. Vanderveen, Tore Joergensen, Staale Nerboe, Bordin Sapsomboon, and Wasu Chaopanon. Current development is supported in part by a contract from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
