The
8th floor of the Information Sciences building is accessible
via the elevators and two stairwells. The tour begins as we
step out of the elevators onto the 8th floor. Directly in front
of us is lab 819, the main computing lab. <<Image 1>>
Housed in this lab are Sun Solaris workstations, two printers,
and several Pentium PC machines. The Graduate Student Assistant
(GSA) desk is also located in lab 819 <<Image 2>>.
To the left, as we step out of the elevators, is a hallway
<<Image 3>> leading to the labs offices and storage
rooms (room 808). Around the corner to the left is the Pentium
PC/teaching lab (lab 838). Housed in 838 are sixteen Pentium
PCs running Windows operating systems.
To the right, as we step out of the elevators, are the Telecommunications
Labs.
Walk through the doors to lab 819 to continue the tour.
