PC Lab, Room 838The lab maintains several different types of Pentium PCs in the SIS computing labs. Models include the Micron Millenia Pentium III in 819 (pictured below) and Dell Pentium 4 systems in 828 and 838. All models run Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003 packages. For more information about the types of software available on the Pentium machines, check out the software page.

  Sun Solaris Workstations

Sun workstation Lab, Room 819Sun Solaris workstations, running the Solaris operating system, are also maintained by the SIS computing labs. The Sun workstations are located in room 819 of the SIS building.

  Computer Teaching Labs

Computer Teaching Labs, Room 828Currently, rooms 828 and 838 are available for SIS course instruction. Faculty may reserve either room (but not concurrently) for instruction using the Online Labs Reservation Request Form. Room 838 is equipped with 13 PC computers, white boards, and an overhead projector. Room 828 is equipped with 12 PCs, a SmartBoard, and ceiling-mounted data projector. Faculty may reserve a computer cart for instructional use in lab 838 during the time of their room reservation.

  Computer Carts & LCD Projector

Computer Carts & LCD ProjectorFour computer carts are available for in-classroom use by any SIS instructor teaching a course within the IS Building. The carts include:

Additionally, three LCD projectors are available for in-class instruction. The projector can be connected to an instructor's laptop to increase the monitor's visibility in larger classrooms. The projectors are stored in room 808. Faculty must pick it up immediately before and return it immediately after their class. Not all laptops are compatible with the lab's projector. It is highly recommended that instructors test laptop/projector compatibility prior to use. Please contact labs staff to set up an appointment.
