About the Collection
Robert Chartrand worked as a Senior Specialist in Information
Policy and Technology, Congressional Research Service,
for over a decade. He was responsible for a series of
initiatives focusing on the burgeoning role of advanced
information technology.
The Chartrand collection is comprised of over 500 Government
and commercially published documents on information policy.
The materials were produced and/or published between the
late 1960s and early 1990s. The collection includes publications
from the General Accounting Office and the Congressional
Research Service; Committee Prints and Hearings; conference
proceedings, background papers, press releases; journals
and photocopied journal articles; technical papers, reports
and monographs.
The Chartrand Collection is currently located at the
University of Pittsburgh's Information Sciences Library.
Please note: The Bibliography for the Collection's Books
and Journals is under construction. In addition, new materials
will be added to the collection as they are received.
