Tutorials

I believe that a lot of what students need to learn in a graduate program like ours is learned by talking with other students and by working in the lab. Over the last couple of years, I have encouraged students to write up little tutorials.

In the introductory course, INFSCI 2000, students to help each other through tutorials devoted to basic skill acquisition. The first set of tutorials shown here provide examples of what I consider good treatments. They are a little dated, but generally still accurate.

I have also included a couple outstanding tutorials developed by students in more edvanced courses -- one on makefiles and one on spiders.
