Fortran (ISO/IEC 1539:1991)
Intro to standard
Fortran is a programming language that has its main power in
mathematic programming. It was invented by IBM in 1957. It
became popular among scientists and engineers, and the result
is an enormous amount of algorithms written in this language.
It has been standardized in 1966, 1977 and 1990.
The standard organization ISO is
on-line. They offer
several documents for sale.
There are however many fortran-resources on the net too.
Of course there is aFortran Users Group,
and some Fortran 90 Tutorials.
