Students are recommended to choose projects of their interest. Here are some project ideas to begin with. If you are interested in one of these, talk to me. We will add other topics as the class progresses.

• Access control models/framework for emerging applications (Grid, P2P, Mobile)

• Delegation framework for distributed environment
• Secure interoperation framework
• Administration models (advanced RBAC administration in multidomain environment)

• Trust based access management

• Trust models and its integration with access control for dynamic environments
• Efficent trust-based access management in Grid/P2P
• Policy based management of workflows in Mobile/P2P environment

• Access control and privacy models
• Survivability models/frameworks

• Experimental setup for integrated detection, containment and recovery
• Theoretical/Analytic framework

The goal of the project would be to produce at least a conference quality paper that can be submitted to some conferences or may be used for PhD preliminary work. Upon producing high quality of results - theoretical or experimental, I will consider upgrading the project portion of the grade.
