Student Enrollment Update - September 12, 2007

The following 3 charts summarize the 5-year record of student enrollment at SIS. It is encouraging to see that declines experienced over the past few years are reversing and that the robustness of enrollment in the LIS program continues. I attribute the gains in the undergraduate program to the attention the faculty has given to updating the curriculum, the focused efforts of our recruitment staff, and the increasing industry demand for information professionals. It is also encouraging to see an increase in the number of new students in the MSIS program, where significant attention has likewise been devoted to the curriculum. I anticipate we will see a similar result from the work the Tele faculty is currently investing in revising the MST curriculum.
