Faculty / Staff Recruitment

The LIS search committee has completed their work and Cory Knobel (U Mich) has accepted my offer of a position as assistant professor (tenure stream) at SIS. He will be arriving here in August.

The TeleNet search committee has also completed their work and I am currently negotiating with a candidate for that position.

We have an active search underway for a Visiting Researcher. Daqing He is chairing the search committee.

Marsha Washington will be retiring in a couple months, and I am working with the Office of Human Relations to restructure her position as a Director of Administration. The position description is currently under review by staff in the Provost’s Office.

I am currently interviewing candidates for the Director of Constituent Relations (DCR). Joelleen Yerace will be moving to a position in Arts & Sciences when we have a successor to her identified.

I anticipate launching a new search for a project director to lead the iSchool Inclusion Initiative (i3), once we receive approval of the grant from the Mellon Foundation.
Provost Maher has announced his intention to return to the Physics faculty. Randy Juhl is chairing the search committee for the new provost.
Bob Pack, Vice Provost for Academic Planning and Resources Management, has also announced his intention to step down from his current position and retire.
