Welcome, Sharon Bindas

Theresa’s decision to retire at the end of 2011 presented a real challenge for me and for the School. How does one go about replacing an individual who has been at Pitt for 44 years and has, quite literally, been here to welcome every faculty and staff member currently on the payroll? One who knows better than anyone else the various nooks and crannies of the building, as well as where the “true” power centers of the University lay? With her ever gracious assistance, however, we have now brought onboard Sharon Bindas in the position of Manager of Personnel and Administration. Sharon comes to us with 20 years of University experience at the Katz School of Business, where she worked with the Center for Executive Education. Theresa will be working with Sharon over the next three months to introduce her to the School and to “show her the ropes.” Please join me in welcoming Sharon to the iSchool.
