SIS is an acronym for the School of Information Sciences
at the University of Pittsburgh. SIS is a school within
Pitt that offers degree programs in --Information

How do I apply to SIS?
When you apply, you are not applying to SIS per se but
to one of the programs offered by SIS. For instance,
if you intend to earn a Master degree in Telecommunications,
you will apply to the Telecommunications Program within
SIS.

Financial aid opportunities abound for graduate students
attending programs at SIS. Financial aid disbursement
is coordinated through your program of study within

How do I set up an appointment with my faculty advisor?
You should set up an appointment with your faculty advisor
directly either through email, telephone, or stopping
by your faculty advisor's office during their posted office
hours. To obtain your faculty advisor's contact
information, check out the online faculty
directory.

How do I register for classes?
Once you have been accepted into one of the programs
discussed above, you can register for classes by filling
out a registration form available in Room 518 (the Dean's
Office). The form is aptly called the "Registration
Form." Once
filled out, the form must be signed by your faculty advisor,
and then submitted to Tricia
McFadden ,
registration specialist, in suite 500C of the Dean's
Office (5th floor, Information Sciences Building).
