Abstract:
Jeliot is a family of program animation systems that allow learners to visualize
their own Java programs. The current version, Jeliot 3, is intended especially
for novice programmers in their efforts to learn both procedural and object-oriented
programming with Java. Contrary to the first member of the Jeliot family, Jeliot
I, which supported adaptability, the later versions have been fully automatic.
However, based on our newest experiments on analyzing the use of Jeliot with
eye-tracking devices, it seems that there is both need and opportunity for
the adaptation of Jeliot.
