Educational Materials Development for a Mobile Information Systems Course

Department of Information Science and Telecommunications faculty members David Tipper and Prashant Krishnamurthy have received a NSF Course, Curriculum and Laboratory – Educational Materials Development grant of $50,000 over the period of 01/04 – 12/05. The objective of this proposal is to develop educational materials for an undergraduate course on mobile information systems. The course covers the technical, regulatory and business aspects of information system applications deployed over wireless networks and will provide a unique education in the development, design and deployment of mobile information systems with an emphasis on emerging wireless data technology.
