National Study of Users and Potential Users of Online

Abstract: The goals of the study include: 1) conduct a national survey of the information needs and expectations of users and potential users of online information and the Internet, 2) provide data and recommendations about content that should be made available online to meet information and enterprise needs of the public, and 3) provide data and recommendations about mechanisms and resources necessary to efficiently and effectively connect users to that content.  Immediate results of the study will include new knowledge about the information universe.  Long-term outcomes of the study include reduced or eliminated barriers to online information, more users, and use of online information.
