The Minority Resources Office
Dedicated to the recruitment and retention of minority students
The Minority Resources Office (MRO) is staffed by SIS students, who act as peer advisors for new and continuing students. The MRO is designed to help minority students make the adjustment to graduate school, the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh community.
Mission: Their mission is to provide resources for current and prospective minority undergraduate and graduate students at the School of Information Sciences.
Services Offered:
Information about events, programs, and organizations of interest to minorities.
Guidance to minority students during the admission and orientation process.
Materials and publications that emphasize issues and subjects of particular concern or importance to minorities.
