Information Sciences Library Display Cases

During the month of February 2004, the cases in the hallway outside the Information Sciences Library will feature a display compiled by the Minority Concerns Council honoring Black History Month. The focus of this display will be "Brown vs. The Board of Education," as this year marks the 50th anniversary of that landmark case.

During the month of March 2004, the display cases will feature materials from the Elizabeth Nesbitt Room's "Nineteenth Century Juvenile Magazine Collection." The display will highlight the design, illustrations, and intellectual content of these magazines. Comparisons will be made between these nineteenth century magazines and current children's periodicals such as "Cricket," "Spider," and "Highlights for Children." Further information about this collection is available at the Elizabeth Nesbitt Room webpage.
