Alumni News:
Yale Fineman, MLIS alumna, has assumed duties as the music librarian/head
of reference and circulation at the University of Maryland/College Park’s
Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library.
Claudia Gollop, Ph.D. alumna and associate professor at the School of Information
and Library Science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, recently
received a grant supplement from the National Institute of Nursing Research/National
Institutes of Health to continue research on a project entitled “Analytic
Techniques for Qualitative Metasynthesis.” For more information on

metasynthesis.html. Gollop has also worked to establish a distance education
program at UNC-Chapel Hill, teaching the on-line courses Health Science Information
and Consumer Health Information.
