A Year End Wrap-Up
For those of us who started this program last August, we have completed one regular academic year of classes. To celebrate that milestone, Bibliofile thought to include a brief snap-shot of what has happened in those intervening months. Since September we have... * had one bomb threat * had one snow day * had one evening of very annoying, malfunctioning fire alarms * spent 15 days of our lives in class (4 classes X 3 hours per class X 15 weeks per semester... you don't really want to know the math, do you?) * acquired 13 new computers on the eighth floor * received about 600 applications to the program * graduated the first cohort of FastTrack students * lost a neighbor, Mr. Rogers * lost seven astronauts over Texas * entered into a war in Iraq Since January we have... * circulated 6550 books from the SIS library * requested 99 books through ILL * borrowed 54 books through PALCI * visited the SIS library 5275 times With thanks to Charity Leonette, who helped gather statistics.
